A survey of the things people find under their beds turned up some bizarre results, from sweaty socks to sex toys.

And one man looked underneath his bed – to find his wife’s secret girlfriend,

The survey, said people also found dirty plates, guitars and a mouldy Chinese takeaway.

One of the 2,000 adults questioned returned home to find his wife under the covers and a ‘rustling sound’ coming from under the bed. It turned out to be his wife’s girlfriend.

One woman feared a gas leak only to discover the source of the stench came from a pair of her husband’s sweaty football socks left festering for two years.

Another man was helping his mother-in-law move her bed only to find her collection of adult toys.

Over a third of those polled said they only vacuumed under the bed once a year. One in four would be embarrassed if someone looked under their bed.

Our advice: ”Your bed is a haven and its surroundings should be clean and clutter-free to aid a good night’s sleep and that includes under your bed.”

I hear a lot of people moaning (and rightly so) about last year(2010) However when i look back on the past year i must say in all honesty that 2010 was a good year for us!, from a personal view my grandson was born! that tops it all! secondly we just got busier! as i said in my last post we saw repeat business and new clients! So based on this info im going to put my neck out and say that 2011 should be even better as long as i dont get lazy and stop putting the effort in, Again my biggest problem still seems to be late payers…I have tried a couple of different ways but to no avail, I dont want to get to heavy handed i.e legal letters etc, but i cant keep letting people owe money for the lengh of time they are. If im honest its the fear of losing them as customers but then do i really need customers like them? Any thoughts would be welcome!!…Thats it for now! Have a fantastic 2011!….

Last month saw the rise in business with repeat customers returning, Also people are starting to see the benefit of our cleaning system! The biggest advantage being its dry instantly, no smell from chemicals and no putting tin foil under furniture legs! The month also saw the rise in Mattress hygiene with pet and child pee stains being neutralised! Leather cleaning as been steady would like to do more especially stain protection! Next year will see us pushing for more specialist cleaning and getting the domestic cleaning side up and running.

cowboy customers

How come we don’t have a programme called cowboy customers? Or Check-a-Customer.. Two weeks ago I priced up a job in ladbroke grove, which for those of you who don’t know is in the congestion charge zone.. Like always I wrote it in my diary and so did my customer! I drove there this afternoon I was even five minutes early! So I knocked on the door and waited, and waited, and waited etc etc.. After 1/2 I gave up and drove home… No job, no phone call from customer to apologise and 8quid out of pocket! Might try my luck and invoice her for my time AND my 8quid….will keep you posted!

people who dont pay!

This is about those customers who don’t pay! I’m sure I’m not the only one who is experiencing this problem! I wouldn’t mind if the job was shoddy or just bad workmanship but i have a testimonial from my customer! There is the usual route to go i.e send in the debt collectors but my own views on this are well known! Letter writing, this is where you send the first letter saying how you are sure your customer as “forgotten to post the cheque” only to find that after 7 days they have still forgotten, so you send the second letter which is a bit more stern, Something like, We notice you still have NOT paid “you got 3 days” A week later, NOTHING! Now its time for THE letter” which simply says, pay now or this go’s to our solicitors!! There’s something about that letter that makes me feel bad and keep putting off sending it, Don’t know what it is cant quit put my finger on it, I have come to the conclusion that from now on everyone i do work for must pay when the job is complete!

What a week!! Been to 1 job twice, found a situation that we couldn’t do. More restoration than cleaning! Then done our first office job, waited for feed back which I got on friday, and was fantastic!! Starting to pick up decent work now, and getting a few enquiries from twitter belive it or not! Trying to get some info on a add on business which I think will be good for dry and clean..the day in the life article will be out this month, should be good fun!

A day in the life article was published, had a good responce, priced and got a job priced another but waiting for the go ahead.. to be honest dont have much hope for this one! champainge dreams lemonade mony im affraid..had ellis over the weekend..nicked all the bedsheets! blesss him hes got colic which is really stressing him out… Off to working for car interior cleanin! Some leather and fabric should be good fun!…
